Arne Jacobsen( 1902-1971) is one of the most prominent post-war Scandinavian designers with at least 350 designs on his credit. After finishing his study Applied Art and Architecture he worked for two years for Paul Holsoe architects. After that period he started his own office to be able to design free as architect and interior designer. The designs of Arne Jacobsen are strongly influenced by nature besides de functional aspect is very important. He decided factory applied items had to have the same high quality as items made by hand.
